Workshop: Turning Scenes In To Shows
14/June/2024Scene Stealers Workshop Series
14/June/2024The Heart of the Scene with Neil Curran
This workshop is part of the Scene Stealers workshop series.
The pressure in an improv scene is an illusion. When we try to be funny, or intelligent, or clever, the wheels start to come off. We need to slow down. In this workshop, Neil will take participants on a journey to notice everything. Understanding that everything means something and the process of discovery, be the goal comedy or drama or a mix of the two), is there on stage with us, not in our head. Scenes will become more authentic and connected as a result.
Participants will learn patience and the art of slow burning comedy and drama.
This workshop is part of a 3 part series facilitated by Dan McCormack and Neil Curran. Workshops can be taken separately or as part of a discounted package for all three here.
When and Where
The workshop takes place on Tuesday 25th June, from 7pm to 9:45pm in the Teachers Club (36 Parnell Square West). Workshops are capped in size.
